Based on a custom-made riot cop skin for the computer game Grand Theft Auto, a complete avatar is laid out in this display. Weapons, items, fabrics and various body parts are left for the viewer to piece together. A licensed authority and a street warrior - ready to wear. A promise of imaginary power and fantastical urban adventure without the efforts, constrains and tediousness of ordinary life. But a handwritten note, folded and tucked away in the skin suit, hints at reality's colorless grind seeping into the crevasses of even this most escapist fantasy life.
