In a field on the outskirts of the seemingly idyllic town of Lumberton, Jeffrey Beaumont finds a severed ear. His unsettling find immediately shatters the serenity of the little town and leads him on the long, dark journey that is David Lynch’s Blue Velvet. As a severed piece of fiction, an exact replica of the wax ear, originally produced by make-up artist Jeff Goodwin, is now strangely unearthed into this real environment - dismembered and misplaced - amplifier without receiver.
